The drive from Tangier to Larache
Larache is roughly 85–90 km south of Tangier, depending on your starting point. Allow around 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes on the road. We usually take the A1 motorway south; from the airport, there’s no need to go through Tangier city centre.
The final stretch heads towards Larache, near the Loukkos River and the Atlantic coast. Traffic, your exact pickup and any agreed stops can affect the timing. Ask your driver if you need a short coffee or rest break.
Want to visit Lixus? This archaeological site outside Larache has Phoenician and Roman remains. Arrange the stop before booking so we can confirm the extra time and price. Visits to Asilah or Moulay Bousselham are separate detours, not part of a direct transfer.
