The drive from Tangier Airport to Asilah
Asilah is roughly 40 km south of Tangier Airport. The drive normally takes 35–45 minutes, depending on traffic and your accommodation’s location. We usually head south using the motorway, without going through central Tangier first.
It’s a small Atlantic town with white houses, painted streets and old walls overlooking the sea. Once you’re in the historic centre, much of it is easy to explore on foot.
For a short break, ask your driver. If you’d like a longer detour or sightseeing stop, let us know before booking so we can agree the timing and price.
Staying inside Asilah’s Medina?
Many streets inside the old walls are pedestrian-only. Send us your riad’s name so we can arrange the nearest practical drop-off — near Bab Homar, Bab el-Kasbah or another vehicle-accessible entrance, depending on the address. You may need to walk a few minutes.
With heavy bags, ask your riad whether someone can help from the entrance. For hotels and apartments outside the Medina, we can usually take you to the door where road access allows.
Meeting your driver at Tangier Airport
We meet you inside the public arrivals hall at Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport (TNG).
After landing
Go through passport control, collect your bags and pass through customs before entering the public arrivals hall.
Look for your name
Your driver will be holding a sign with your name. If you can’t find each other, contact us on WhatsApp.
Walk to your vehicle
Your driver helps with your luggage and takes you to the car for the direct journey to Asilah.
Add your flight number when booking. We follow your flight’s arrival and adjust pickup if it lands later than expected.
We arrange early-morning and late-night airport pickups too. Your confirmed fare doesn’t change simply because you arrive at night.

Do I have to pay in advance?
No deposit is needed. Pay the driver in cash on arrival, in the currency agreed before your trip. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup.
